The Hunt Course Green Space

The Historic Red  Barn

The Events Barn at Folly Farm was built circa 1890 from rough hewn oak and CT red stone. Originally used to house Folly's International Grand Champion Jersey Show Cows, the Barn has been lovingly preserved and remains almost entirely in its original form. Huge exposed beams with wooden pegs, wide plank floors, the tin roof and oak ventilation shaft, and a 20 X 30  oak deck are just some of the breathtaking features.

The Barn has two floors and beautiful surrounding green spaces including a bridge overlooking a spring fed creek with multiple waterfalls. The Barn's lower floor will comfortably seat up to 80 guests, with the upper floor and the surrounding green spaces able to accommodate indoor outdoor parties of up to 200.

The Barn can be used as a stand alone location for your event or in combination with a tented event on one of our larger green spaces.

The Polo Fields

As the home of Simsbury Polo Club, Folly Farm maintains a Tournament Sized Polo Field and a Practice Polo Field on our Southwest acreage. Accessed by a private entrance, these fields are backed by Talcott Mountain's breathtaking view of Heublein Tower and King Phillip's Cave. Encompassing more than 12 acres of flat green lawns, the polo fields can accommodate grand events including concerts and very large weddings or celebrations.

The Events Barn is conveniently located a short walk from our Hunt Course Green Space which can accommodate tents and parking for over 500 people. This immense grass field sits adjacent to our white horse barns and our outdoor riding ring. The farm feel is complete as your guests look out from your tent at our beautiful horses with their dutch door stalls, and our colorful jumps adorning the riding ring.
